Context
Beginners often open Ads Manager and click through settings without a plan. I wanted a structured way to learn Meta advertising and to teach it to others.
Problem
Most guides list features but do not explain the trade-offs. A learner does not know why one objective, audience or budget is better than another.
Objective
Create a practice workbook where every choice teaches its reasoning, using a realistic local-business case, so a learner can plan a complete campaign before spending money.
Approach
I restructured a source guide into a seven-step planning flow:
Every decision has a pros, cons and verdict table. The practice case is GC Sports & Kids Zone in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, with a Sports Zone campaign and a Kids Zone campaign.
What the workbook includes: nine missions
Key design decisions
- Test one major variable at a time, so learners can tell what caused a change.
- Judge results by qualified enquiries and bookings, not by cheap clicks.
- Set a decision rule before launch: when to scale, change or stop.
- Treat budget, audience and thresholds as starting hypotheses, never as promised results.
Outcome
A complete, shareable learning tool and a reusable planning method for local-service campaigns. Because this was a practice build with no live spend, I am not reporting performance figures.
What I learned
Strong campaigns come from a clear brief and fair tests, not from settings tricks. Writing the decision rules first makes results easier to read.
Next step
Run a small, authorised live campaign for the venue, apply the report template, and add real results to this case study.
